Every passion has a story.
Here’s mine, and why I created The Mamahood Space—a community built for mamas like you.
After becoming a mama, I experienced the highs and lows of mamahood. I struggled with postpartum depression and often felt lost and invisible. I didn’t know where to turn or how to navigate this new life.
I Craved Connection
I longed for a space where I could meet other mamas, share my experiences, and find support. But figuring out where to start felt overwhelming.
I had recently moved to a new town, just a month before I had my second child, and struggled to find baby groups. It felt like they were non-existent.
The Mamahood Space was born from my need for connection. I didn’t want any mama to feel like I did—alone and unseen. I wanted a space where mamas could feel safe, celebrated, and supported.
My aim is to build an organic community and watch it flourish. A lifeline. A reminder that we’re in this together. Mamahood is hard, but it’s not something that should be done alone.
Mamahood can be an isolating journey, especially when you don’t have anyone to share it with.
It had become even more challenging as we were still in the COVID period, but with relaxed rules.
I decided to make a change. Instead of staying within the four walls of my home, I purchased a double buggy when my second child was born. This decision was imperative for my mental health—it helped me avoid cabin fever and stay on track with my well-being.
With my little ones bundled up, we ventured out together, exploring parks, wandering through nature trails, and finding solace in the world beyond our home.
These moments weren’t just about getting fresh air—they were about finding balance, building resilience, and creating memories. Each walk reminded me that amidst the chaos, there is peace to be found if we take the time to look for it.
Nature didn’t just help me survive; it helped me thrive. And it’s one of the reasons I built The Mamahood Space—to create a community where mamas can find their own moments of calm and connection, no matter where they are on their journey.
To the mama crying in the bathroom. To the mama who feels like she’s failing. To the mama who’s just trying to get through the day—you belong here. You’re not alone.
Come as you are. The Mamahood Space is here for you. Let’s navigate this beautiful, messy journey together.
